Rapid self-test for the semi-quantitative detection of vitamin D in human whole blood
Vitamin D refers to a group of fat-soluble secosteroids responsible for increasing intestinal absorption of calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphate, and zinc. Vitamin D is produced by skin exposed to ultraviolet B radiation or obtained from dietary sources, including supplements. Average daily vitamin D intake in the population and current dietary reference intake values are often inadequate to maintain optimal vitamin D levels. Virtually every cell in our body has receptors for vitamin D, meaning that they all require a "sufficient" level of vitamin D for adequate functioning.
Vitamin deficiency has been linked to various serious diseases: osteoporosis, multiple sclerosis, cardiovascular diseases, pregnancy complications, diabetes, strokes, autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases, etc.
Product Features:
The vitamin D test is intended for persons commonly at risk for vitamin D deficiency, such as people who get tired and fatigued easily, have inadequate sun exposure, have limited oral intake, or have impaired intestinal absorption
How to use:
Draw a blood sample by using the sterile lancet provided.
Collect the sample indicated with the black line by using the capillary pipette provided.
Deposit the collected specimen into the sample well (S) indicated on the test cassette.
Add 2 drops of the diluent and wait 10 minutes before reading the result.
Caution & Warnings:
Read these instructions carefully before performing the test. The test is reliable only if all the instructions are followed correctly.
Keep the test out of the reach of children.
Do not use the test after the expiration date or if the package has been damaged.
Follow the procedure exactly, using only the specified quantities of blood and diluent
Store the test components at a temperature between +4°C and +30°C. Do not freeze.
