How To Use:

The typical dose is:

• 1 tablet (12.5 mg of ALOGLIPTIN and 1000 mg of metformin) twice daily with food.


• Healthcare providers should individualize the starting dose of ALOGLIPTIN and metformin HCl tablets based on the patient's current regimen.


• ALOGLIPTIN and metformin HCl tablets should be taken twice daily with food with gradual dose escalation to reduce the gastrointestinal (GI) side effects due to metformin.


• ALOGLIPTIN and metformin HCl tablets must not be split before swallowing.

Dosing may be adjusted based on effectiveness and tolerability while not exceeding the maximum recommended daily dose of :

• 25 mg ALOGLIPTIN and 2000 mg metformin HCl.

Warnings And Precautions:

• Avoid foods that are high in saturated and trans fats.


• Instead, consume fats from fish, nuts, and olive oil.


• Eat carbohydrates that come from vegetables, fruits, and whole grains.


• Be sure to monitor your carbohydrate intake, as this will directly affect your blood sugar.


• If your kidneys are not functioning properly (ALOGLIPTIN / metformin) can lead to a condition called lactic acidosis.

 Symptoms of lactic acidosis include:

• malaise, muscle pain, breathing problems, sleepiness, and abdominal pain.
