Chlorhexidine Digluconate is used to treat and prevent mouth infections of the gum (gingivitis). 

If you are allergic to the active substance or any other component of this medicine.

Warnings and precautions

Staining of oral surfaces (teeth, tooth restorations, dentures, tongue) may occur.

Do not eat, brush teeth, or rinse with water or other mouthwash right after using this drug.

Stop using this product and seek immediate medical help if you develop rash; hives; blisters; itching; wheezing; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Mouth irritation.

Staining of the mouth, teeth, or fillings.

Change in taste.

Chlorhexidine Digluconate is not likely to interact with other medicines.

This medicine is intended for adults above the age of 18 years.

For the mouthwash, rinse 2-3 times a day with around 10-15 mL for 30 seconds.

For the gel, massage the gum 2 or 3 times a day.

For the mouth spray, spray 3 or 4 times on the surface to be treated, 2 or 3 times a day.

Do not swallow this medicine.

Store at room temperature 68 to 77°F (20 to 25°C).

Keep this medicine out of reach of children.

Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

*Dosage form and route of administration of Chlorhexidine Digluconate 0.2% oral gel and 0.2% mouth spray and should be prescribed according to therapeutic indication and disease severity of each individual patient.
