LaxForte® Baby is created for babies from 2 weeks old and children to relieve infrequent episodes of constipation.
Main mechanism of action of the LaxForte® Baby medical device: dissolved suppository attracts water to a stool, thereby promoting hydration.Stool masses increase, thus responding to pressure of a stool on the walls of a rectum and promoting the evacuation of stool from the intestines.
Suppositories act locally in a rectum. Butter lipophilic extract, as a component of suppositories, softens the stools, stimulates peristalticmovements of the intestines and acts as a lubricant (facilitates sliding of stools).
Olive oil, as a component of suppositories, makes it easier forthe suppository to slide into a rectum and soften retained stools.
Suppository works quickly and efficiently, usually within 15–30 minutes.
