What Dimethicone / Methyl Hydroxybenzoate t is used for:
- Dimethicone / Methyl Hydroxybenzoate is used to release trapped air in your baby’s tummy.
Do not give Dimethicone / Methyl Hydroxybenzoate :
- If your baby is allergic to the active substance or any other component of this medicine.
- If your baby is being treated for a thyroid disorder.
- Warnings and precautions
- Talk to your doctor before taking this medicine:
- If your baby is intolerant to some sugars.
- This medicine may be harmful to teeth.
Possible side effects:
- Stop using this product and seek immediate medical help if your baby develops rash; hives; itching; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; wheezing; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.
- There are no known side effects to Dimethicone / Methyl Hydroxybenzoate drops.
- If your baby experiences side effects, talk to your doctor.
Other medicines and Dimethicone / Methyl Hydroxybenzoate :
- Tell your doctor if you baby is being treated with Levothyroxine, a thyroid medicine.
How to give Dimethicone / Methyl Hydroxybenzoate :
- This medicine can be used in babies starting birth.
- Shake bottle before use.
- This medicine can be added to the baby’s bottle or given orally directly from the syringe.
- 5 ml (one measured dose of the syringe) should be given with or after each feed.
- Maximum 6 doses per day.
How to store Dimethicone / Methyl Hydroxybenzoate :
- Store at room temperature below 77°F (25°C).
- Keep this medicine out of reach of children.
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.
- The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
